Back for its 8th year, Tour de Fresh rides again!  Join Growing Hope and Bike Ypsi on Saturday, August 20th, as we tour the Ypsilanti food community!
TourDeFresh12x18

Tour de Fresh 2016 is a group bike tour that highlights the local food system in the Ypsilanti community. Bikers see and learn about positive projects impacting the city including farmers markets, community gardens, urban micro-farms, local honey projects, home vegetable gardens and more. The tour focuses on how our community is creating sustainable food production opportunities and healthy food access in Ypsilanti. Bike Ypsi has teamed up with Growing Hope to lead the bike ride and community members will host bikers at each garden!

This event is open to the public with a suggested registration fee on a sliding scale from $5 to $25. Growing Garden Members ride for free! Please visit: http://ghtourdefresh16.eventbrite.com to register for the ride.

Feature Garden information coming soon!

For more information check out Tour de Fresh on Facebook or email Garden Program Manager at [email protected]

This year’s route is approximately 8 miles long. Tour de Fresh makes use of public roads. Riders should be comfortable riding in the road and agree to follow traffic laws. In the case of bad weather, the ride will be moved to Sunday, August 21. Growing Hope will notify riders 24 hours prior to the ride with changes to the schedule due to weather.  Growing Hope and Bike Ypsi strongly recommend helmets for all riders and mandatory (state law) for all riders under 16. All minors must be accompanied on any ride by a parent/guardian. We also recommend you bring: sun block, sun glasses, ride snack, water bottle, flat repair kit.
