Growing Hope is delighted to announce that the DTE Energy Foundation has awarded us a very generous grant to support our volunteer programs in 2016. From our thriving Farmers Markets, to our Growing Gardens Programs, to our extensive work with youth and schools, people make programs happen, and many of those people are volunteers!
Volunteerism is a crucial part of our work in building Healthy People, Places, and Economies. Last year over 700 volunteers gave over 5500 hours, gaining job and life skills, gardening experience, leadership training, and much more. This grant from DTE will help us grow our volunteer work and provide even more support for the numerous volunteers who give so much of their time to help make a difference in Ypsilanti and beyond.
