The Perry Learning Garden is the garden that inspired the beginning of Growing Hope! A school and neighborhood youth learning environment, the PLG acts as both an outdoor classroom for the Perry Child Development Center and space for neighborhood youth to explore, work, eat, and learn from a garden. For the 2009 season we look forward to turning the PLG into a donation garden!

We are excited to engage residents around the Perry Learning Garden to grow, harvest and donate food to Food Gatherers, a local organization that collects and distributes food to the hungry. We are going to redesign the PLG to increase productivity and serve as a source of information to promote food security in Ypsilanti. Please contact Growing Hope if you would like to volunteer.
