Chef Brandon Johns, from Ann Arbor's Grange Kitchen & Bar, will be returning this year with his exquisite seasonal and local recipes for the mid-October event. Chefs for the first two events will be announced upon their confirmation. Proceeds from the events will be used to support Growing Hope's mission of improving lives and communities through gardening and healthy food access.

Tickets are on sale now for the following dates:

Sunday, October 18 - Chef Brandon Johns, Grange Kitchen & Bar

Volunteers are also needed for all three events. This is a fun way to connect with Growing Hope and get a great gourmet meal for your work! Email us at volunteer@growinghope.net for more information.

Huge, huge thanks to everyone who gave so generously to our Patronicity campaign! We're so grateful for the amazing outpouring of support that took us not just to our goal of $65,000 but beyond to $86,600! This first phase of our year-long campaign to raise the funding needed to open the Ypsilanti Farmers MarketPlace couldn't have gone better, and we appreciate everyone who gave, supported us, and helped spread the word.

Thanks to your support, as part of our Patronicity campaign we'll be receiving an additional $65,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. We're well on the way to reaching our goal of $400,000 which will get the MarketPlace open and provide Growing Hope with crucial working capital.

Growing Hope is very grateful to Barnes & Barnes for their invaluable contribution to this vision. Their support of this project, and the purchase of the necessary properties is making this all possible!

Special thanks to all of our donors (there are over 280!) and Farmers Market Sponsors including:

All of us at Growing Hope are so delighted by the amazing outpouring of support for our Patronicity crowdfunding campaign! We've nearly reached our goal of $65,000 which will get us another $65,000 in matching money from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. So if you want to support our vision of a year-round, indoor-outdoor Farmers MarketPlace for Downtown Ypsilanti (PLUS get great swag like sweet aluminum water bottles, limited-edition hoodies, buttons, and much more!) TODAY is the day to donate!

We'll be able to take donations online until midnight on Tuesday 6/9 and in-person at the Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers Market until 7pm. This Tuesday is also the 10th anniversary of the Downtown market's beginning and we'll be celebrating with live music by the phenominal Abigail Stauffer.

This first phase of our year-long campaign will have a huge impact. If we reach our goal and get our matching funding, we'll have $130,000 towards our $400,000 total campaign target for 2015. With your support, the Ypsilanti Farmers MarketPlace will be closer than ever to opening this winter!

Huge thanks and deepest gratitude to the many individuals and organizations that have already contributed!
