Growing Hope is dedicated to helping people improve their lives and communities through gardening. Based in Washtenaw County, Michigan, we work with neighborhoods, schools, community groups, and families to develop and sustain gardens.

We also work to increase local food security through our Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers' Market and other efforts that improve access to healthy, affordable food. In this season of thanks, we thank all of you who have helped us grow as volunteers, shoppers, partners, enthusiasts, sponsors, donors, and friends. We build on the strengths of individuals and the community to bring the benefits of gardens, healthy food, and sustainable communities to all. School and community gardens are ideal ways to improve nutrition, enhance neighborhoods, foster education, and bring people back to the "roots" of how to till the soil and make something grow. Please, join in our efforts!

We're making progress on the development of the Growing Hope Center! You can see that the hoophouse has progressed and despite the chilly weather, there is green and growth inside! We're also working on renovation of the building, thanks to volunteers and the WCC Home Construction Program! Get in touch if you want a tour!
