Farmers Market Services

We love farmers markets and want to help them thrive! In addition to general consulting services around farmers market assessment, planning, and community engagement, we would love to help you dive deeper into market evaluation and/or supporting your market in offering impactful food assistance programs.

Farmers Market Evaluation
Growing Hope is proud of our 10 years of extensive market evaluation. By consistently using tools to track market data, we know, precisely, the impact of the farmers markets we manage. Utilizing our staff, interns, volunteers, and integrating data collection and evaluation into our daily and seasonal market operations, we make metrics easily accessible. To share our expertise with others across the country, Growing Hope is available as a consultant for farmers market evaluation. Our standard fee is on a sliding scale from $50-100/hr, though we can prepare a per project estimate for unique consultations. Consider us as a subcontractor on your farmers market grant application, or as a way to build more data that helps you better understand or support your market.

Market Evaluation Services

Food Assistance Services
Growing Hope offers a variety of contracted services to other farmers markets planning for, setting up, and implementing food assistance, including SNAP and other programs. We are located in Southeast Michigan, so can only provide on-the-ground services in nearby locations, but provide consulting remotely anywhere in the United States. Our standard fee is on a sliding scale from $50-$100/hr, depending on the type of engagement and type of organization. We can also prepare a per project estimate for a unique consultations: Growing Hope’s Food Assistance Services. Contact us at market@growinghope.net to help us understand your needs.

And, in Michigan we want to be sure all farmers markets are also members of the Michigan Farmers Market Association, our statewide organization that makes market strong here. We require any Michigan market we work with to be a MIFMA member, knowing that the membership is a number one way to strengthen a market and connect with a network of peers.
