Description |
Plant A Row
(PAR) is a nationwide campaign sponsored by the GWAA (www.gwaa.org)
encouraging home gardeners to plant an extra row of vegetables this season to
donate to local food banks. Growing Hope and Food Gatherers are working
together to launch a Plant A Row campaign here in Washtenaw County. Home gardeners, school gardeners, and
commercial growers are being asked to plant vegetables and fruits that travel
well, such as broccoli, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, peppers, onions,
beets, potatoes, apples and pears.
